custom post types
Custom post types in WordPress allow you to create and format content specific to your website such as classified ads, job listings and much more.
This series will walk you through CPT creation, front-end views and front-end CRED forms as well as access and permissions.
How to create views to display your custom post types on the front-end.
How to create content templates to control how the single-view of your post types look.
How to create front-end forms available to users to they can submit and manage content on your site.
How to setup “My Content” interfaces for users so they can manage the content they’ve submitted.
Access & Permissions.
Finally, we want to make sure our site is setup with proper permissions, access and custom roles, so that our users have the correct permissions to access CRED forms, submission and to view our content, and lock down other permissions within our site.
Important Note: In this video we show you where the access settings and permissions are managed. We show two ways where you can manage permissions, directly through the custom post type, as well as through the Cred forms. You don’t necessarily need to setup both, it depends on how you want users to access and interact with content. This video is a reference, and should be combined with reading the documentation provided in the buttons below the video.
If you have any questions about this, please post in the LattePress slack, or in the Toolset support forums to ensure your permissions and access are setup correctly.
